POWER OVER INSTINCT

Life the puzzle a coin toss of madness,
A disaster on one side and power on the other,
Both lead to sadness,
Like a worn out lover.
But life isn't this simple,
You think at it and it holds on,
Even your imagination triple,
Doesn't stretch out half as long.
But the guide inside,
Wants you to run and hide,
But wait and accept and be rewarded pride.

Inside this poem is the suggestion that we live as part of something larger than us, rather than the external being solely your experience. And about having courage and controlling a situation and seeking reward.

What are your thoughts on this piece?
