MY BEGINNING

INTRODUCING MYSELF

First off my name is Kyle, I've always been creative and think quite deeply about life and its qualities. I have always written poems and thought philosophically about morals and emotions. I will be writing poetry, photography posts and sharing my ideas on philosophy and music. But instead of me going on too much ill put a short but meaningful poem up that I had written a couple of days ago.

Life the puzzle a coin toss of madness,
A disaster on one side and power on the other,
Both lead to sadness,
Like a worn out lover.
But life isn't this simple,
You think at it and it holds on,
Even your imagination triple,
Doesn't stretch out half as long.
But the guide inside,
Wants you to run and hide,
But wait and accept and be rewarded pride.

I could go on into depth and explain what I mean by this but really the beauty of poetry is that it is only as its perceived by each person, so I would love if you were to have a read on it and tell me what your meanings are.

ROOK T-SHIRT BLOWIN BUBBLES

Snap Back, eBay - £25
Nike Pants, JD Sports - £35

Back in January I was browsing on ASOS to get myself some new gear and came across Rook. Their Tee designs are very unique and they have a wide range of different styles and colours and this is one of the prints I got along with four others that I will show in later posts. The fabric is very comfy made from 100% Cotton and fits perfectly not too baggy or tight. The illustrated print does not fade too easily which is good it keeps its colour and texture nice so really worth the price. I find most T-Shirts I have fade pretty easily due to wear and tear and constant washing so this is a good point I like about this brand. I will be getting more of these in the future as for the price you can't complain :)

What do you guys think of these T-Shirts ?

UNGROUNDING

Climbing a never ending rope,
Squirming in shock and fatigue,
No perceivable ledge to grope,
Reality out of my league.

Hands blistered beyond repair,
Flesh as dry as sand,
There appears to be a burden of despair,
beyond which i understand.

The peak is visible to my seasoned eyes,
Motivation plays its part,
A makeshift labyrinth of intricate lies,
A swift beat fills my heart.

I grab a ledge and feel ripe with content,
solid ground brings light and hope,
I am greeted by nothing but dry cement,
and whats this? another rope...

This is another poem I have written about a man that can not
ground himself in life, and is on a path too destruction.

Tell me what you think this poem means ??

Thank you for reading :)

POWER OVER INSTINCT

Life the puzzle a coin toss of madness,
A disaster on one side and power on the other,
Both lead to sadness,
Like a worn out lover.
But life isn't this simple,
You think at it and it holds on,
Even your imagination triple,
Doesn't stretch out half as long.
But the guide inside,
Wants you to run and hide,
But wait and accept and be rewarded pride.

Inside this poem is the suggestion that we live as part of something larger than us, rather than the external being solely your experience. And about having courage and controlling a situation and seeking reward.

What are your thoughts on this piece?
